On the 28th March, Junior Infants took a trip to Newgrange Farm. We had a fantastic day!! The day was pack with visiting and feeding cows, lambs, pigs, goats and chickens, as well as play time in the sand and water. Farmer David brought us around the farm in his trailer, and he showed us where the leprechauns and fairies live! When we got back to school, we drew lovely pictures of our busy day out!
In our first week back, Junior Infants were flat-out playing games, singing rhymes and practising our writing! We started a new Aistear theme of The Restaurant, and looked at the different jobs inside one. Ms. Mischo is really impressed with how kindly we play together and keep the classroom tidy :-)
Friday, 19th was Crazy Hair Day in St. Oliver's. Our students put a lot of effort into their hairstyles and wowed their teachers and friends. There were also prizes up for grabs for the most creative looks. Well done to everyone in Junior Infants, we hope you enjoyed the day!
Junior Infants had a very busy week at school: For Maths Week, we spent time creating our favourite animals out of Lego. Here are our sharks, cheetahs, elephants, and giraffes, to name a few!
Our class have been learning all about autumn: we've really liked looking at the changing colours of leaves and the animals who are busy this time of year. Here is a poem we know about owls!
There's a wide- eyed owl
with a pointed nose
two pointy ears
and claws for toes!
He sits in his tree
and he looks at you
he flaps his wings
and he says "twoot- twoot"!
